(1) Martin Lindstrom works in “neuromarketing” which looks at what happens in peoples’ brains when they want to engage in specific behaviour (such as buying). In his 2008 book: Buyology: Truth and Lies About Why We Buy he recounts how a study of 32 smokers at the Centre for NeuroImaging Sciences in London. Subjects were interviewed about how graphic warnings affected their thinking about smoking.
